Party Planning - Hiring Magicians and Clowns

Hiring a
Boston magician may only be the first step towards creating the perfect party atmosphere. If you are planning to hold a function where you need to entertain people of all ages, you should think about employing more than one kind of entertainer.
There are a number of things to consider when you are hiring more than one individual. Are you planning a theme party and what ages are the guests whom you are trying to entertain? What is the primary reason for the entertainment and how will the entertainers be able to work together? Consider the following examples:
If you are planning to host a function which will include individuals of all ages, you might want to keep just the children entertained. Hiring a magician to do a show in a specific area of the venue will permit the adults to be able to visit without distraction. You can expand on this idea by including other entertainers throughout the event. You might want to consider having a clown perform a little later or have an individual who can do face painting.
Depending upon the number of guests at the venue and the size of the facility, you might think about asking performers to set up their shows in various locations. People will be able to move freely between the performances and select the one which has the greatest appeal to them. For example, in one room you could have a magician doing his act while across the hall, there could be a clown and face painting. This approach works extremely well if you have the space. Additionally, you will be able to cater to the likes and dislikes of more people.
Another idea is to have people who can entertain your guests in different ways. If you hire a magician to perform two shows, you could have a floating entertainer working between sets, i.e. if the magician is scheduled to do his shows at three and five, you could have a clown walking around doing tricks and making balloon animals from four to five. You may also want to set up face painting and similar tables to entertain children between shows.
If you are planning to have a floating show, having more than one is a good idea. Especially if you are planning a large function, and guests will be moving from room to room. If you only hire one entertainer, many of the guests may not have the opportunity to see them. One thought to think about when planning this kind of party is to ask the entertainer to remain in one room. Each performer would have their own “area†to work. For example, the clown could be in the garden, and the magician could be inside.
If you are planning to implement any of these ideas, it is important that you speak directly to the performer or the service before the date of the function. A performer or face painting artist may have special requirements, which will need to be addressed. They may need a table or electrical outlets, etc. in order to do their show.
Having a
Boston magician, clown and even a face painter at the same event can make for a spectacular party. With careful planning and preparation, it will be an event that is remembered for years to come.
